What I learnt is that short-tailed bats flying speed can go up to 60 km per hour. Short-tailed bats hunt on ground.

I used my research with hapara from my teacher.

What Good Are Wings Without Courage To Fly?

on Friday me and my class painted 4 feather each with different colours of pink because it was pink shirt day / anti bulling day. After we all finished my teacher cutted a brown piece of cardboard in to a wing shape. Then my teacher sticked all the feathers and then at the top she wote a sentence it was "what good are wings without courage to fly". It was a beautiful sentence.

For me the sentence meant "if you had wings without courage why would you fly?" and we had a photo that said "stand up speak out." and we had a fun day.

Our Puhutukawa Art

In class we did some art, it was a pohutukawa. Why we did an pohutukawa is because in our class we were learning about the native bush. At first we had to practise on an scrap paper first so we don't muck up our draft. Then we draw lightly with pencil to outline it was hard to make the leaves and branches the same so it looks good. After we outlined with pencil we had to get an black or white crayon to outline the pencil outlines. When we done that our teacher called 4 by 4 to dye inside first. After our class finished dying inside the pohutukawa we dyed the back ground blue, it was so hard to finish because you had to make that there is no white space seen. Then we took pictures 3 by 3.
